2.3 Camera and Photo Access

The App requests access to your device's camera and photo library to enable you to photograph your plants and add images to your collection. Photos are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our secure cloud storage if you enable cloud sync.

4.1 Local Storage

Your plant collection data is stored locally on your device using secure SQLite database encryption. This allows you to access your collection offline without an internet connection.

4.2 Cloud Storage

If you enable cloud sync, your data is securely stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption.

4.3 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • End-to-end encryption for data transmission
  • Secure authentication via Firebase Authentication
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
